How to spend your honeymoon on a tight budget

Are you planning to get married? Well, that is a great step in life that everyone wishes to have. You do not have to break a bank or strain your wallet when planning for a honeymoon. Honeymoon can still be as memorable and as enjoyable even on a shoe string budget. It all boils down to the two of you to make it beautiful, amazing and unforgettable. The honeymoon is as important as the wedding itself. It is a great way to start life together. You only need to know how to go about it.

Tips on planning for your honeymoon

All said and done, there are a few tips that can help you in the process of planning for your honeymoon. Below are some of the tips:

Plan, Plan, Plan

Every good thing deserves a better plan and honeymoon is one of those good things people experience in life. Take your time to plan the honeymoon, in fact it advisable to start planning your honeymoon even before you get into the craziness of planning for your wedding. Planning you honeymoon earlier ensures you set your wedding dates in a season that you can get good honeymoon deals. It also ensures that you make you booking and reservations early to save you from scrambling for tickets at the last minute.

Pick the right season

Choosing the right time of the year can ensure that you spend your honeymoon without paying much. The ideal time might be the low seasons when prices are not at their peak. This ensures that you have a fantastic honeymoon and still get to save on money. The season you select also depends on where you want to go but you goal should be to make it memorable.

Honeymoon on a fixed budget

Look for all-inclusive packages

In order to enjoy your honeymoon and save on money, look for packages that have everything inclusive. For instance you can look for accommodation that allows you to prepare your own meals instead of having to buy food and still pay for the accommodation separately. This will ensure that you save on the cash you would have used to buy ready-made meals as these are always quite expensive. You can also consider hiring the services of a travel agent who might be having access to the best deals.

Find alternative accommodations

Changing your accommodation plans slightly might make the biggest difference and save you a huge amount of money. Instead of getting reservations in a five-star hotel, you can opt for one that is slightly cheaper and still offers comfortable rooms. In reality, it is not the type of accommodation that matters it is actually the duty of the two of you to make your honeymoon memorable no matter where you go.

Go local

No better way to spend your honeymoon except by choosing to be patriotic and going local. This will be a sure way to save you some money.  You can choose to visit the national reserves we have in Kenya like Tsavo national park, go mountain climbing, visit Mzima springs and Hell's gate among many others.. You don’t have to visit all the famous tourist destinations to enjoy your honeymoon, you can still choose to go local and have a blast!

Celebrate your honeymoon in style

Following the five tips above can ensure you come back home with plenty of memories instead of thoughts on how to pay back debts. The key is to plan ahead, spend wisely and have an awesome retreat in this vacation that comes once in a lifetime!
